biden was supposed to be there, but is not going to be able to go to new hampshire today. people are trying to move around their appearances, the president basically had a couple of appearances and is then coming back. the white house is basically monitoring conditions. host: we are talking about two different changes to the schedule. one is the practicality of not going to a certain swing state, but the other has to deal with how candidates are perceived. talk to us about that angle. host: mike holly had an interesting story today. no one wants to be seen as politicizing a storm, but on the other hand they have a job to do next week. no one has talked about suspending their campaign. after the john mccain experience four years ago, no one would actually use that phrase. there are unpredictable ways in which this could affect people. no one wants to be seen as trying to take political of vantage of this. but the effect could include things like not being able to make appearances in swing states, early voting, or power outages lasted long enough, voting could be disrupted. the fact th

president biden will still be there. the president is not going to be there. he has an event tomorrow morning in florida but he's not going to ohio. he's going back to the white house. as for mitt romney, we're watching his campaign very closely. he has a campaign event here in ohio tomorrow morning after this event with paul ryan in a few minutes. and then he goes to wisconsin and iowa, two states that should be protected from hurricane sandy for the time being. but, don, i have to tell you, a lot of this is very interesting to watch because we're all sort of wondering how is this hurricane going to affect the race? which candidate will it affect more? will it affect the president because it will be taking him off the campaign trail. he won't be able to campaign quite as much. or will it make him perhaps appear more presidential because he'll be looking at storm damage and that sort of thing? the romney campaign was asked about that earlier today. they did not want to speculate but the obama campaign is also concerned about it because of how this storm could put a damper on

still call her vice preside president biden's new bff, best friend forever. he made a stop at a nearby high school. the 17-year-old told him that the rally was at her school but she couldn't go because she had to work. so the vp gave her and her twin brother a ride to the event, that after she assured the vice president that she could get a ride back to work. if it seems to you that the candidates are hitting the same states over and over and over, well, you are right. they're pouring all of their energy and most of their advertising money into those so-called battleground states where the choice for president is not yet considered a loss. those things change slightly every four years, but these are the battleground of 2012 right here. president obama is polling better than romney in most of them, but well within the margins of error. that means all nine battlegrounds can go either way. election news out of battleground state of florida to tell you about. early voting technically ended yesterday, but the heavy turnout prompted officials in several counties to extend early voting. peopl
